This is a freshly rebuilt 4-speed transmission for a 1300cc Fiat X1/9, which was standard equipment from 1974-1978. This is a custom item with a 3.76 final drive from a Fiat 128, as opposed to the 4.08 or 4.42 which were standard-issue.
This taller drive will result in significantly lower RPM at highway cruising speeds. This box has been opened and fully disassembled. All internals have been inspected and any/all worn components and seals have been replaced, with special attention paid to synchros, synchro sliders, bearings, gears and shift forks.
Does not include new reverse and neutral safety switches. Exterior has been blasted for a clean finish. 1-year warranty.
