This is a new production, stainless steel coolant overflow bottle (expansion tank) kit that will fit any model year Fiat or Bertone X1/9 from 1973-88.
Unlike the other guys, our kit includes stainless bottle with brass filler neck (no more rusted/pitted cap sockets) and everything you need to do the install:
- Tank cap
- Upper steel mounting bracket w/hardware
- Lower tank mounting bracket w/hardware
- Overflow hose
An exact copy of an OE original tank, this is a drop-in, lifetime solution for your X1/9.
Only 1978 Fiat X1/9s were fitted with stainless steel expansion tanks. Earlier cars had mild steel tanks that rusted from the inside out. 1979-on cars had plastic tanks with steel cap neck that were prone to degradation, heat cracking and rust.
