This is a high quality Bosch 65A amp, self-regulated alternator as fitted to non-AC late-model 1979-88 Fiat and Bertone X1/9s, but will fit any model year X1/9 not equipped with AC.
Fiat used many different alternators from Marelli and Bosch over the years. Their main differences were the output capability and internal/external regulator combinations. Mounting geometry stayed the same, however, throughout X1/9 production.
This is the highest output self-regulated alternator fitted to non-AC X1/9s.
Comes complete with pulley, and steel inner fan, ready to bolt-on. You won't find other vendors offering that.
Uses a super-simple two-wire set-up (main lug to battery or starter, and kick-line connects to either switched +12V, or the black/violet charge indicator line (from terminal #15 of the external voltage regulator on earlier cars).
