Up for sale is a solid, complete 1982 X1/9 with 1500 EFI and 5-Spd.

This is a 2nd series X1/9, fitted with Bosch L-Jet fuel injection and "late" style dashboard and interior.
Manufacture date 09/1981 and titled as 1982.

If you are looking for an original example that is worthy of the effort for restoration, this car is it!

This car is titled by a private owner and is an individual (not dealer) transaction.
Build date 09/1981, and titled as a 1982 Fiat X1/9.
Odometer shows 79K miles.

The 1500cc fuel injected engine cold and hot starts just as expected.

Note: The car shifts through all gears, and brake hydraulics are solid, but the vehicle is sold with advisement that it requires a full compliment of preventative maintenance procedures to ensure trouble-free ownership.
Body and Exterior
The car has original paint, with all body trims intact.

It has surface rust patina in spots, but is overall very solid.

Black stains are from excessive undercoating that was injected into body panel seams

The car is solid in all the right spots including the front shock towers, rear trunk pockets and floorpans.

The car has minor cosmetic rust in the leading and trailing edges of the fenders as shown. Upper areas of the fender arches, and rocker panels are rust free.

The car is solid and accurate enough to warrant the investment of professional repair to the minor cosmetic blemishes shown and repaint for a show level car.
The doors, hood and decklid are in great condition with no seam rust or structural repairs. The engine cover has some weathering on the leading edge seam.
Engine, Fuel, Ignition, Exhaust and Cooling System
The car is fitted with 1500cc EFI motor and 5-Spd manual transmission.
Engine bay is completely original and requires all of its common preventative maintenances, including belts, fuel hoses, gaskets and seals, ignition system and cooling system.

Original style exhaust.
The cooling system appears to be solid and offers rock-solid temperatures. The car was originally fitted with Air Conditioning as noted by push-button heater controls, but AC compressor and hoses have been removed from the engine bay. Heater valve is currently closed and lever does not open it.
Electricals
The car has a replacement alternator and offers good voltages with no loads. Grounds do need to be cleaned and main "brown wire" power supplies should be re-crimped to provide better voltages with high current accessories such as radiator and heater fan.
Battery positive terminal and ground straps have been cleanly replaced.
Transmission / Clutch / Driveline
The 5-Spd manual transmission is in good condition, shifting correctly into all gears. Reverse works as expected. Shifter linkage serviced.
Clutch feels good and operates as expected.
CV boots are untorn.
Steering / Suspension / Tires / Wheels / Brakes
Control arm bushings and ball joints check out OK. Wheel bearings are quiet and slop free.
Braking system hydraulics are good, with recently replaced master cylinder. Outboard brake system (pads / rotors) should have scheduled preventative maintenance.
Stock springs and struts at all four corners. 13x5, CD-91 alloy wheels, with older 13" tires that will need to be replaced.
Spare tire and wheel included.
Interior / Top
The interior on the car is very good. Uncracked brown dashboard, with very good condition brown cornrow OEM carpet. Door cars and seats are OEM "parchment" color.

Top features white headliner.

Doors are rust free with excellent condition bottom seams. Door cards are in very good condition. Doors have manual lifts and work correctly.
Front and Rear Trunk
Great shock towers with no indication of corrosion or bubbling.

Floor is clean. Upper cowl panel near the wiper motor has some corrosion and requires minor repair.

Rear trunk pockets are in great shape with floor intact and rust free.
This car is currently available for $4,900.
