This car has a 52K miles and a clean bill of health from Midwest-Bayless.
The 1500cc fuel injected engine runs great. It cold and hot starts just as expected with one try. The chassis rides comfortably.
Body and Exterior
The body is monochrome "Rosso Arancio" (tomato red).
This car has been repainted by a previous owner some time ago, and the finish has some minor blemishes, but the vehicle's overall exterior presentation is good, around 85 points.
This car has no corrosive rust to the unibody. The main structural areas such as front shock towers, rear shock towers, and rear trunk wells are original and unrepaired.
Floorpans are solid and original.
The chassis is solid and accurate enough to warrant the investment of professional repair to the minor cosmetic blemishes shown and repaint for a show level car.
The car has two spots of cosmetic rust on the lower panels. One on the trailing edge of driver side door, and a smaller spot on the forward edge of the driver side front fender.
The windshield frame has rust in the lower edges and will need to be addressed.
The front air dam, front grille and all front / rear plastic bumper trims are intact. Original glass in all positions.
Engine, Fuel, Ignition, Exhaust and Cooling System
1500cc SOHC engine w/Bosch FI and Bosch electronic ignition
New fuel, pump, filter, high and low pressure injection system supply fuel hoses.
New timing belt and V-belt
Starts at the first turn of the key, every time. The engine bay is clean with original, uncut wiring, and all factory AC items present.
Factory exhaust with original downpipe and catalytic converter.
Under car pipes are solid.
Blower fan works, but heater core does not transfer heat.
This is a non-AC car simplifying the engine bay.
Electricals
System has good voltages, even with wipers, lights and heater fan on. All accessories and lights work. All cabin switches, gauges and clock work as expected.
New battery, distributor cap, rotor, plugs and wires.
Transmission / Clutch / Driveline
The 5-Spd manual transmission is in excellent condition, shifting correctly into all gears with no synchronizer issues, no grinding, reverse works as expected.
New clutch master and slave cylinder.
Axle boots and CVs are good.
Steering / Suspension / Tires / Wheels / Brakes
Stock struts at all four corners.
Control arm bushings and ball joints are in good condition with no issues. All wheel bearings are solid with no hum or play.
Braking system has been recently serviced with new master cylinder, brake pads, flex hoses and rotors.
All steering items check out. The car tracks straight and handles nicely on the freeway and through curves.
New Achilles 165/70-13 tires.
Spare tire and wheel in good condition.
Interior / Top
This car features Parchment white interior with brown cornrow carpets.
Dashboard, center console and firewall claddings are factory issue brown. Dashboard is uncracked! The glove box door hinge needs repair.
The interior cushions are supple and all bolsters are properly tied. The covers will clean up nicely with repeated efforts.
Door cards are matching the seats, in very good condition. Doors have manual window lifts and work correctly. Carpet has good color and is untorn.
Targa top is in good shape. All weatherstrips are good.
Front /Rear Trunk
Factory mat and battery cover intact. Fluid reservoirs in excellent condition.
Rear trunk is presentable with original carpets, mats and blower.
Factory trunk jack and tool kit included.
