This is a KYB nitrogen gas-charged replacement strut for the rear of all model years Fiat or Bertone X1/9s from 1980-88.
KYB has phased out production of silver GR-2 struts in favor of a black "Excel G" unit, witch has identical internal and external specifications.
Accepts all original factory spring hardware on 1980-88 cars without modification.
Note: Can be directly applied to 1973-79 Fiat X1/9s if original upper spring bump stop/perch and cone component is replaced with a 1980-88 style one-piece assembly (available as supplies permit in storefront, Fiat PN 4395945) or our Steel Strut Cone pair (4289220x2 (STEEL FOR KYB REAR).
Can also be applied to Lancia Scorpion / Montecarlo applications but are approx 1" shorter, so spring modification will be required.
