This is the top half of a two-piece steering column cover for early model Fiat X1/9s from 1973-78.
Overtightening the screws will cause the screw posts in the upper half to crack or break. This item will not fit later Fiat X1/9s because the dash design was changed.

This item is uncracked/unbroken, and all screw holes are in excellent condition.
