This is a high quality Italian maker temperature warning light switch sending unit for all DOHC Fiat Pininfarina 124-series, 131 Brava, Lancia Beta and Scorpion/Montecarlo
Fitted in the cylinder head.
Reads maximum temperature in block and if overheating occurs (115 degrees celcius), activates the dash water temperature warning light.
Note: on the DOHC head, there are 2 (two) water temperature senders.
Identification:
Most always, temp light sender has black plastic cap and is located in the front (nose side) of head.
Most always, temp gauge sender has red plastic cap and is located in the rear (firewall side) of head.
