This is a Factory OE steering rack bushing that fits to the right side (long-end) of the housing.
This bushing is critical to keeping the "rack" rod centered in the housing.
This unit is later style nylon resin construction and won't crumble or crack.
Stock bushings often disintegrate after use, allowing the rack to rock within the housing, causing erratic handling due to excessive toe changes on the RF wheel of the vehicle.
