This is a Factory OE locking plate for 3-bolt exhaust flanges, as found on 1975-80 carbureted Fiat cars, including 124 Spider, Coupe, 128, 131, and X1/9.
Also used on 1980-on Fuel Injected X1/9 as the downpipe / manifold junction.
Use at 3-bolt flange junctions, such as those between downpipe or muffler/center section and catalytic converter, or exhaust header to muffler.
