This is the gasket between the cylinder head and the cam tower; applicable to all Fiat SOHC engines (1.1L, 1.3L and 1.5L) as found in Fiat X1/9s, 128, Strada and Yugo SOHC applications.
This is an extra-thick composite version for use after deep valve jobs or to resolve leaking cam towers.
.9mm as opposed to .3mm for paper gasket.
Helpful to fix leaks on a warped cam tower in one of two ways;
1) Fit as a replacement to your original paper gasket and reshim the camshaft (this gasket will increase your existing clearances by about .9mm and slightly affect cam timing due to the change in overall height).
or - 2) Mill the cambox and head surface -.030 inch (total both surfaces) to straighten, and use this gasket to make up for the material removed. This allows you to retain use of original-range shims and keep the stock cam timing geometry.
