This is a quality water pump with metal impeller that will fit any model year FIAT / Lancia / TOFAS SOHC engine, including those in all 1973-88 Fiat and Bertone X1/9s , 128, Strada/Ritmo or Yugo with 1100, 1300 or 1500 engine without Air Conditioning or pollution control. Also applicable to Generac systems.
This specific design includes aluminum housing and metal impeller nose, with stamped steel pulley for a single V-belt that drives both the water pump and the alternator.
Beware of cheap generic units that are sold through auto discounters. Ours have the correct clearance between the impeller and water pump housing for proper suction and circulation on the long coolant run in an X1/9.
