1978 Fiat X1/9, Full Restomod with Acura K20 Driveline - This is a gutted, fully street-legal track-day car fitted with an 05/06 Acura RSX driveline with K20 engine, 6-speed transaxle and Hondata engine management.  Car dyno'd at 238HP and weighs 1765lbs!  Power/Weight Ratio of 7.4:1 - Supercar territory!

1975 Fiat X1/9,  Refurbishment - This car had sat for 17 years without running.  The owner wanted the car restored as a present for his grandson.  Exterior finish was very good, with little rust.  We performed a complete mechanical refurbishment, including brakes, clutch, suspension, electrical, interior and engine bay, and a rebuilt engine. 
     

1983 Bertone X1/9, High-Performance Engine and Long-Ratio Transaxle - This car was brought to us for a high-performance engine and transaxle.  We built a performance "100HP" engine with stock Bosch EFI controller, modified the 5-Spd transmission with a Strada 3.61:1 final drive.  The engine bay was fully detailed with stainless braided fuel lines and hoses.  The suspension was rebuilt, with front and rear swaybars, and a custom, dual outlet peformance exhaust with long-tube header was installed. The owner claims "It's the best handling and most fun car I've ever owned"

1974 Fiat X/9, Refurbishment - This car had sat for over 30 years and had a mere 5,000 miles on the clock.  It received a full suspension, brake, clutch, and electrical refurbishment.
       

1981 Fiat X1/9, Refurbishment - This car started and lived its entire life as an SCCA showroom-stock racecar.  It had sat for 10 years before being brought to us.  We performed a full sport suspension upgrade including KYB struts, sway bars, and lowering springs.  The engine was given a tune-up and a free-flow exhaust.  Most importantly, the interior was modified to support a 6'-4", 280lb driver.  This was accomplished by relocating the seat belt retractors, fitting 74 seats, and an offset steering wheel.

   

1987 Bertone X1/9, Performance Upgrade - This car was brought to us with 116,000 miles on the original engine.  0-60 times were 16 seconds.  We installed a performance cylinder head for the 116K-mile bottom end, a shorty header compatible with AC, and built a custom dual-outlet exhaust with one of the most aggressive exhaust notes we've ever heard on an X.  0-60 times dropped to 11 seconds!
 

1986 Bertone X1/9, Full Restomod with Acura K20 Driveline - This car had 30,000 miles when started and was a pristine, rust-free vehicle.  We performed a ground-up restomod, fitting the engine and 6-Spd transaxle from a 2006 Acura RSX-S.  A full write-up of the effort can be found here: Midwest Bayless Modern X1/9 with Acura Drivetrain
