This is a pininfarina Factory OE trunk hinge tension spring cover.
Prevents items in the trunk from inadvertently getting caught between the coils when the decklid / trunk is open and the spring is extended.
This unit is approx 145mm (6") long and is used for the short, right-side spring in 1983-on Pininfarina Spider cars.
