This is a differential assembly for 1979-82 Pininfarina 124 Spider. It has a 3.9 to 1 ring and pinion as fitted to 5-Spd cars.
This unit has been confirmed to be a 1979-82 version unit which uses axles that have 24mm diameter splines and 10mm ring gear bolts.
It is identical in outside appearance and fitment to later units. Measure the diameter of your axle splines carefully before ordering!
Note: Can be applied to 1978.5 model year 124 Spider (originally fitted with 4.3:1 ratio), but will affect the speedometer calibration.
Does NOT include axles. Insert the axle assemblies from your differential into this unit.
Internal service of the ring and pinion units in these differentials is difficult, and requires special tools to even remove the R&P assembly from the housing! Save yourself time and money by swapping the entire assembly instead.
Condition: USED (8 of 10) / REFURBISHED.
Good used condition, all internals rotated smoothly. Case cover removed, no debris found inside, lash is acceptable. No apparent issues with spider gears or axles. Cleaned, degreased.
New Pinion Seal and Cover Gasket installed.
