Wiper Motor Gear (Fiat 124 Coupe 1973-75) - OE NOS

Fiat OE windshield wiper motor 63mm O.D. gear for Fiat 124 Coupe from 1973-75.
Note: early 124 Coupe wiper motor requires a much wider 83mm O.D. drive gear.
The nylon wiper drive gear wears severely and when worn usually causes 124 Coupe wiper motor failure.

When the the drive gear's teeth are worn, even if the old wiper motor is perfect, the wiper linkage is only partially engaged or not at all.
If the drive gear is suspect, disconnect wiper motor from linkage and run wiper motor.
If load-free wiper motor turns with gusto, a virgin-toothed wiper gear can remedy balky and sometimes intermittent/stuttering wiper motor action.
We recommend inspecting every Fiat wiper motor gear before ordering any wiper motor.
And, as always, cleaning and liberally greasing old wiper linkage while clearing out accumulated debris, is excellent maintenance.
