This is a F/I/A/T Factory OE Bosch Germany made distributor cap for Fiat and Bertone X1/9s from 1979-88 as production fitted with factory Bosch electronic ignition.
Heavy-duty premium-quality unit with brass contacts that will last for years.
Aftermarket caps are much lighter and use aluminum contacts terminals that burn or corrode.
OEM Bosch production distributor caps have become harder to find.
Note: Also applicable to Fiat Strada with cam-mounted distributor and to Yugo if one wants a 90-degree cap.
