A rubber air intake snorkel that connects the Air Flow Meter to the throttle body on all fuel injected Fiat and Bertone X1/9s.
Over time, the air intake snorkel will harden and crack; inducing an air leak into the system, which causes a higher-than-normal idle. If the crack is big enough, it can lead to a lean running condition at highway speeds which can cause engine damage.
