This is a lightened factory steel flywheel for 1100/1300 SOHC engines that mate to a 4-spd transmission as fitted to X19 and 128 through late 1974.
These flywheels are two pounds lighter than 1975-later units, and with additional machining its final weight is 30% less than a stock 1975-on unit!
180mm friction surface.
Approx. 28mm thick when measured from back side to friction surface. .050 friction surface step.
Requires "tall" style clutch kit with pressure plate 4309911.
Please note that this unit has not been spin balanced but if you are building a performance motor, you'll probably want to do this, matched to the crankshaft and pressure plate anyways....
1974 flywheels have slightly shorter deck height than 1975-78 units. Here are some important measurements for those who are interested:
~9.8lbs - Weight of lightened 1970-74 4-Spd flywheel with ring gear
~15.0lbs - Weight of stock 1975-78 4-pd flywheel with ring gear
20.5mm - Height from crank mounting face to clutch disc friction surface
64.5mm - Height from crank mounting face to top of 1974-style clutch cover
58mm - Height from crank mounting face to top of 1975-78 style cover.
Notice the clutch plate bolt pattern, it and the ring gear are different than 1500cc/5-Spd style flywheels. Only for use on cars with 4-speed transmissions. Incompatible with 5-speed bell-housings and starters!
Condition: RECONDITIONED
Freshly bead blasted, and remilled friction surface with correct, .020 height.
